B Vitamins - the best, the cheapest, and the highest dose.

At the risk of repeating information you are probably familiar with - every person involved in training, breeding and competing horses should be aware of the important role B vitamins play in their horses performance (while we are at it – you might also want to consider how important B vitamins are for YOU as well! But that’s another newsletter altogether).

Remember B Vitamins are water soluble – so they are not stored in the horse’s body - they need to be feed as required.

What’s in it and what does it do?

Thiamine (B1)

 

Important role in carbohydrate metabolism and in nerve transmission and stimulation.

Riboflavin (B2)

 

Essential in the synthesis of ATP production and lipid metabolism.

Niacin (B3)

 

Important in the regulation of energy metabolism - the processing of carbohydrates, amino acids & fats.

Red cell production and energy metabolism.

Pyridoxine (B6)
